• Wow, it has been a long time!

When I checked the date, I realised people are right to mention my long absence. My excuse (at least for this year) is that the last seven months have been insanely busy. Regardless of what the truth about COVID is, or isn’t, it really increased my day job workload. I found the occasional opportunities on the last book in the Stork Tower series (the new arc will have a different series title) and I’d managed about fifty thousand words. Seven weeks ago I managed to take five weeks away from the day job (I was very thankful for accrued leave). In those five weeks, I managed another fifty thousand, which…

  • Frozen

“Leah dives forward under the descending claws and then surges up to slice open the creature’s belly. Before her extended nails can reach the soft underside she …” What happens? Well, she freezes. Not really but it seems like that to me. I can still see her next moves, and the story is laid out in front of me, but the words won’t come. Five weeks ago my doctor prescribed a different medication to try and reduce my ongoing migraines. The drug works, and for the first time in twenty-five years, I have a month without a headache. I also understand why people go off their medications. My brain was…

  • The GameLit Bundle

Curated by Anthea Sharp Did you love Ready Player One? Laugh out loud at the new Jumanji? This StoryBundle is for you! • Book 4 Progress

Plans have a way of changing. Several things have happened during February which has pushed the date for finishing Book 4 back to mid-March (16th March) as I originally intended. With a possible ‘bundle’ in the offering, I’ve spent some time working on a thorough edit of Nascent. I’d like to thank those who have sent in lists of typographical, grammatical and logic mistakes. I appreciate the feedback. If you wish to send them via email, then my contact address is tony@tonycorden.com. I allowed myself to become distracted (sidetracked even) on several occasions with the backstories of ancillary characters. Even though I mention a character only once or twice, I’ve…
